Joe brings over 25 years of relevant experience to Pharmacal across Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Validation, and the Lab. Most recently, Joe was the Director of Biologics at SGS Labs, one of the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing, and certification companies. During his nearly 5-year stint at SGS, Joe held several other roles including General Manager, Sr. Manager of Biopharmaceutical Services and Microbiology, and Manager of Biopharmaceutical Services. Prior, Joe held several roles over a 12-year career at Asuragen, Inc., a molecular diagnostics company specializing in genetic and oncology testing kits. He also held roles in Validation at Kashiv Biosciences, Quality Control Manager at Molecular Templates, and Research Associate at Ambion, Inc. and the Department of Surgical Pathology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
Joe graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology and a Master of Science in Pharmacology from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Joe loves to BBQ, do various outdoor recreational activities with his wife and daughter, and seeing live music.
