First Shift 8:00am – 5:00pm. Some overtime may be required.
SUMMARY
Perform a variety of duties related to financial reporting financial, cost analysis and forecasting. Focus on growth, customer value and continuous process improvements
RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting
-
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
- Lead and review preliminary brand analysis (Margin by Brands)
- Assist w/ month-end variances and explanations
- COGS Trend
- Focus on material cost variances
- Assist on annual budget and standards update
- Month End closing
- Standard Journal Entries (Royalties, Method Var, etc.)
- A/R Reconciliation
- Pharm Accruals – Net Sales (RA Log, Deductions, Coop)
- Sales Report
- Sales Subledger Reconciliation
Forecast
-
- Lead on Pharm forecast
- Weekly review of actual orders vs. planned
- Closely monitor new placement and seasonal opening orders
- Review POS
- Participate in weekly forecast review meetings
- Communicate updates to organization (Finance, Sales, Purchasing, etc)
- Lead on Pharm forecast
Profit Analysis

- Customer P&Ls – (Updated Quarterly)
- Assist in leading Finance / Sales meetings
- New Business Quoting
- Pricing Updates
- Lead in monitoring Store Brand profitability
- Customer P&Ls – (Updated Quarterly)
Cost Accounting

- Capacity Analysis
- Help define process to update interim standard costs (interface w/ Purchasing)
- Routing Execution and Run Rate Review
- Work Order Efficiencies
- BOM file updates
- Help develop process to incorporate item updates
- Assist with work order variances
Operational
-
- Assist with Cost Saving Initiatives
- Work with CFO & Finance Manager on different analysis
- POS Trends
- Resolve Customer’s deductions
- Assist on cash application when necessary
Audit
-
- Work with CFO & Finance Manager to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit
- Research customer’s audits and assist disputing them with Finance Manager
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the Finance Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate Degree in Finance or Accounting
- High level of attention to detail.
- Proficient with Excel (formulas in vlookup & pivot tables)
- Strong communication skills both written and oral.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently on multiple projects.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Possess and demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
- Demonstrate initiative. Develop ideas, and collect them from others.
