JOB TITLE: Sanitation Associate

SHIFT: 1st 6:30am – 2:30pm 2nd 2:30pm – 10:30am

SUMMARY:
Perform a variety of activities associated with the cleaning and maintaining of the Production Equipment. Teardown filler line tooling, clean and sanitize tooling. Clean the filler line equipment and immediate area. Perform standard operating procedures for production areas of the facility. Maintain documentation for tasks performed per checklists and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Remove, teardown and clean filling tooling. Sanitize equipment in accordance to the production schedule. Clean the filler line equipment and the floors in the immediate area of all residuals from the previous product. Clean Tooling parts bins.
• Re-assemble tooling as required to meet production schedule requirements.
• Complete tasks in timely manner based on production scheduling and change over timing.
• Mix, use and dispose of cleaning chemicals appropriately and in a safe manner as defined on the SDS. Maintain status and organization of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Notify purchasing of needed supplies based on performing periodic physical inventory.
• Assist Manufacturing Group with Cleaning and sanitizing of Manufacturing Equipment.
• Maintain tooling parts inventory. Report needs to Maintenance Manager.
• Keep Work area cleaned and sanitized.
• Dispose of garbage and trash appropriately, as needed.
• Report to Supervisor any tooling and equipment maintenance issues that require attention.
• Follow GMP requirements and company policies.
• Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally
• Exhibit good interpersonal communication skills.
• Exhibit a positive attitude and good attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
This position reports to the Manufacturing Blending Lead.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma, equivalent or suitable on the job experience. At least one year work experience in a production environment. Must possess the ability to read and speak English, ability to perform simple math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and calculate percentage. Should possess basic mechanical aptitude and ability to effectively communicate with co-workers.
